One of Chris Banke’s fondest memories was of the time when one of his dogs, “Dino von der Maineiche,” received the second highest Schutzhund/IPO III in the country, getting a trial score of 297. He also fondly recalls the time in 2008 that Dino appeared in the Oscar-nominated movie, “Frozen River.” He enjoys discussing such events because they highlight the fact that Chris is among the best dog trainers in the business.
It’s no wonder he’s considered one of the best, since Chris Banke had compiled a stellar record over his more than three-decade career as a canine trainer. He actually started when he was a teenager, which is how he compiled such an impressive record all told. In addition to his dog training acumen, he is also highly regarded for having a high level of activism within the canine training community. He has been a member of many training organizations, including being a founding member and an executive with Schaeferhund Schutzhund Club and a founding member and training director for the Mid-Island Schutzhund Club. In addition to those, he also helped found The Pinebarrens Schutshund Club.
